Ingredients

  • Sprinkles
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 19-ounce package brownie mix (13x9-inch pan size)

Instructions

  • Start by pouring the dry brownie mix into a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat the mix in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each session, until the mixture's temperature reaches 165°F. This process should take around 90-120 seconds. Set the mix aside and allow it to cool at room temperature for about 5 minutes.
  • Once the mix has cooled slightly, stir in the corn syrup, chocolate syrup, and water. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are fully incorporated, and the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
  • Spread sprinkles in a shallow dish, ready for coating. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and keep it close for placing the truffles. Slightly dampen your hands to prevent sticking. Scoop out 1 tablespoon of the brownie mixture, roll it into a ball using your hands, then gently coat the ball in sprinkles. Place each truffle on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Continue this process until all the mixture has been shaped into truffles. Once finished, refrigerate the truffles for at least one hour to firm up. Serve them chilled for a refreshing treat or at room temperature for a softer texture.

Notes

  • Uncooked flour in brownie mix, while rare, can sometimes carry bacteria that cause food-borne illnesses. To stay safe, always heat the mix before using it in no-bake recipes like truffles.
  • Keep a bowl of water or a damp kitchen towel nearby while rolling the truffles. Re-dampen your hands as needed to prevent the batter from sticking.
  • Store no-bake truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Place parchment or wax paper between layers to avoid sticking
