  • 3 ounces bresaola
  • 4 ounces Genoa salami
  • 6 ounces hard soppressata

Cheese

  • 8 ounces blue cheese
  • 8 ounces brie cheese wheel
  • 8 ounces Parmigiano Reggiano
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cubed Bread and Crackers
  • 8 ounces sesame bread sticks
  • 8 ounces wafer crackers
  • 1 baguette thinly sliced and lightly toasted

Nuts and Chocolate

  • 6 ounces pistachios
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate broken into pieces
  • 6 ounces candied pecans
  • Jams and Condiments
  • 8 ounces cornichon pickles
  • 6 ounces honey
  • 6 ounces fig jam
  • 1 cup mixed olives

Fruit

  • 1 pear sliced
  • 12 ounces green grapes
  • 12 ounces red grapes
  • 12 ounces assorted fresh berries

Garnish

  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary optional
  • 1 handful of nuts in their shell optional

Instructions

  • For a beautiful and well-balanced display, start with a spacious serving board, preferably a large one about 12 by 18 inches. Use the measurements as general guidelines, adapting quantities as needed to match your board's size.
  • Begin by preparing the baguette. Slice a third of it into rounds, then brush each slice lightly with olive oil before toasting them for a few minutes until they’re golden. Position the toasted slices and the rest of the baguette as a focal point at the board's center.
  • Serve any wet or potentially messy items, like olives, jams, pickles, and honey, in small bowls or ramekins. This keeps the board tidy and prevents flavors from mingling unexpectedly. For easy serving, slice a portion of each hard cheese, which encourages guests to dig in.
  • Set the brie next to the fig jam and pear slices for a complementary flavor pairing. Shape the prosciutto into rosettes, and fold or roll the salami and bresaola for added dimension. Arrange these meats in small clusters across the board for visual appeal.
  • Scatter the remaining elements, like nuts, chocolate, crackers, and fruits, around the baguette centerpiece. Create balance by distributing colors and textures evenly on both sides.
  • Place small serving knives, tongs, and spreaders around the board for convenience. To add a touch of festive flair, decorate with rosemary sprigs or similar fresh herbs as garnish. Enjoy this visually inviting and delightful charcuterie board with friends or family!
